The Montessori Material

Maria Montessori talked about her material as the "key to the world" because she designed them to make the world accessible to the child.

Montessori materials are ingenious hands-on learning tools that are designed to stimulate children`s minds, encourage exploration and inspire independent learning. 

The material is divided into five sections:  

 Sensorial material to refine the senses

Practical life material teaches all kind of life skills to the child

Language material contains material for talking, reading and writing for every level

Mathematical materials are an introduction into the world of mathematics and contains material up to a very abstract level in maths 

Culture or cosmic material contains material for biology, geography, botany, zoology, astronomy and history
